What´s better: Nexto CF Ultra ND-2525 or Lacie rugged drive?

I need them for external OTG bus-powered storage.
Does the HVX USB give bus-power?

If so, is there any reason to prefer the more expensive Nexto CF Ultra ND-2525?

Can I power the Lacie USB drive with the small HVX USB connection?

How much faster is FW data transfer (Nexto)?

Is the HVX data transfer to 7200rpm 2,5" USB bus-powered OTG faster than to 5400rpm OTG?

The Nexto is battery-powered. In that aspect it beats anything else on the market.

The HVX doesn't supply any bus power.

I thought about using one ext. battery for many drives.

Can I easily exchange the Nexto HDD?
Do I need 4500, 5400 or 7200rpm for fastest transfer, does it matter?

Transfer speed is definitely connected to drive speed. Faster platter speed= faster transfer times. If you go the inverter hack route I suggested, a camera battery will power an OTG drive without blinking an eye for a loooong time. Persoally I'd try to keep my battery systems to a minimum, HVX style and what ever you are using for the HPX 3K

Your options: USB Bus power off a P2 gear. The afore mentioned small inverter making AC from a camera battery . OTG's are generally DC powered (5v) you could hack together a regulated DC supply that could be powered by an HVX battery.
Just a few I can think of...
