my first time using the dvx100. i'm finally a true member of dvxuser.
do i get a cool custom name above my avatar now? :D

a few clips from a doco for MIFF
shot on the dvx100/sgpro w/ 135mm 2.8 nikon
50i shutter 1/81

waiting outside the Melbourne Cricket Ground for the footy. this is pretty much the quintessential australian thing to do..

Welcome to the forums!
And congrats on the new setup, footage looks neat :)
But I have to ask, why the specific shutter number 1/81?

your footage looks pretty good
did you do anything to the footage in post?
whenever i see footage from the sgpro that is from a rainy day, i always wonder why it looks so good. maybe its just the glistening of the water on things.
nice work

hey smettli! i now have a scene file setting named after you. but there wasn't enough room for everything, so it's "SMETLI" :D i hope you don't mind.

i didn't shoot this stuff with scene SMETLI though. i shot with 1/81 for two reasons..
i accidentally hit the dial to F2 and changed it to 50i instead of 25p...
and i was shooting in 25p 1/40.5 (250 degrees) the night before and doing slomo 50i 1/81 to match.

steven, thanks. nothing in post. except for some awful compression and quick deinterlacing.

it's the overcast day. i just makes everything look awesome! :D

Haha, that would explain it!
I'm flattered you named a scene file after me, but it's a a pretty standard one :)
