FS: Brand New Indifocus Follow Focus

Indifocus -Follow focus. This unit is brand new. Never been used. I ordered it for one of our HVX200's, only to find that it doesn't fit into my Zacuto case liner with it in place.

I wound up buying the Redrock Micro FF instead. It's a bit smaller. If you look on their site (indifocus.com), you'll see the package listed as the "Geared Ultimate" for $575.00.

I've had it sitting here on my desk, in the box for about 5 weeks.

Asking $475.00.

Or...got an interesting trade??

Price dropped to $425.00. Needs a new home. I have too much stuff!!!

It's never been used. Only fitted onto the rails to see how it fit.

If that's the case, then no. But there was no indication you were the buyer. I assumed you revived a dead thread thinking the product was still available (which isn't too uncommon...)

Sounds like you need to tell us what happened so we're all up to date on any fraud.

Here's what happened:
  • Feb 14th - Started corresponding with Michael, at first was told the goods was sold but later got an email saying the first buyer flaked out and offered it to me.
  • Feb 23rd - I was given Michael's paypal address after discussing shipping cost and payment method.
  • Feb 27th - I made a successful paypal payment for US$ 502 (including shipping) to the address Michael provided.
  • Feb 27th - Sent an email asking if payment received, unreplied
  • Mar 1st - Sent another email asking if payment was received
  • Mar 3rd - Michael replied my email saying he's out of town and will be back on Mar 6th, and will try to have someone ship the goods to me.
  • Mar 3rd - I replied saying I don't mind waiting till he comes back on the 6th
  • Mar 10th - Sent an email asking if the goods was shipped, unreplied
  • Mar 24th - Sent an email asking if the goods was shipped, unreplied
  • Mar 27th - Sent an email asking if the goods was shipped, unreplied
  • Mar 27th - Sent a PM asking if the goods was shipped, unreplied
I am not accusing Michael of being a fraud. But I do get kind of nervous as it has been over a month since I made the payment and over 3 weeks since I last heard from him. Hopefully it's just a simple case of forgetting to notify me of the shipment.

What I was looking from him is confirmation of shipment and tracking number so I know what's going on. Shipping to my part of the world takes time, but at least if I know it was sent and have the tracking number, I can monitor the shipment.

Where are you located?

Even if Michael is legitimate, the lack of correspondence on his part is unnerving and speaks poorly. Keep us updated, even if he does respond and everything is fine.
 
I've responded to Surya...

I've been on location in Moab Utah for the past 2 1/2 weeks, working on a film project. I just got back to "civilization" today and found these messages. I wasn't aware there was a problem or issue with the transaction. I've PM'd Surya with my response and I will be back in Dallas tomorrow, where I will follow up to find out the details of the transaction.

Michael has indeed PMed me and assured me that he will take care of the matter in a prompt manner. Hopefully the matter can be solved as soon as possible.

It has been over two weeks since you last communicated after missing for over three weeks. Two week ago you assured me that you will send the goods I had paid for two months ago immediately.

Last week I sent you a PM reminding you, but like earlier communications it went unanswered.

I have lost confident that I will ever receive the follow focus, so can you kindly just refund my payment.

I still believe you are a legit person and would not commit fraud for such a tiny amount of money, but I am no longer patient in waiting for the follow focus.

$500 is no little bit of money, at least to a poor indi like me. Do you think something could have went wrong in customs, since you are located out of the country?
