Good monitor for a low budget indi doc

Hi to all.

I am currently using Monotor Magic on a Macbook Pro software with my Brevis adapter on the XH-A1.

I am looking to buy a more versatile and lighter solution to address the monitor problem and flip problem.

I think that investing on a monitor is a better investments than on the Cinevate flip module. You get the same result, have a monitor and you always can flip the picture on the computer.

Do you have a suggestion about a decent solution under 1000 usd?

Thank you in advance! :D

at that price I'd look at the IKAN and totevision. Either should be great for focus and framing. If you can up your budget I'm seriously considering asking my Panasonic lh80 to marry me. Unbelievable monitor.

Last I checked Ikan was selling refurbished models of their 8" HD monitors for around $400 on their website. They are guaranteed and under warranty too I believe. Hell of a deal.

I picked up the dead pixel Ikan and think it is great for the price. make sure you have enough battery as the ones used will not charge over a long lunch break (happened last week). overall good for the price, not color accurate, but you can get close. I use it with the Brevis flip.

I'm contacting Ikan about their used ones as well.

Great!

Are those monitors going to flip the image directly from the Brevis adapter?

So I can work directly on focus on a correctly oriented image?

Thanks!

PS:

Maybe this is quiet a basic question...

They don't have a flip feature, but you can mount upside down. It doeas not have threads on the top, so I picked up the arm they sell.

Do you think that Delvcam 5.6" PAL LCD MONITOR could be a decent solution for this or do I need i real HD monitor anyway? :bath:

Also... looks like that Ikan email is not working... have you an email address to contact them?

Thanks!!! :birthdays:
