Just to waste 5 minutes of my time I called on a $2,900 HVX last week.
Just as expected, the guy asked if it was for hobby or professional use. Instructions in "Chinese". No warranty, no 16 gig card. NADA.
I didn't even ask if they could actually deliver one.

For the last time...until the next person asks...If it sounds too good to be true, there is a reason. But these guys obviously find a sucker every day.

I called to inquire about a DVX100B and they told me that the lens was extra. These guys should be put out of business .

$5K for a new HVX200 is about as low as they go.

And if they advertise the price very much lower, like sub $4500 or so, it violates Panasonic MAP policies, which means they aren't authorized.

Yes, taking a cop may be a good idea, as Don Wiss received death threats for posting photos of the scam shops.

It's also worth noting that former NY Attorney General and Governor Eliot Spitzer has filed criminal complaints against some of those Crooklyn camera shops in an attempt to drive them out of business -- it hasn't worked.

Those guys are determined to rip people off because that's all they know, and there is money to be made off the fools who are motivated by price alone.
