Hello to all,
The fact is we were shooting in the dessert, just two shots according to the plan, but once there something went wrong with the next location and the Director decided to stay and finish the scene.
So we had our P2 Store full by half (30gb) and only the ancient ibook they use for reading the script and checking the storyboard. We were going to shoot a lot, much more than 60gb. Ergo, we gonna need to format at least once during the day.
We plugged the P2 Store to the iBook, and it did recognize it as an external drive. Moreover, the contained cards popped up in desktop as external units, as it usually happens. No Final Cut, though, so we were unable to log/capture and generate .MOVs from them.
So we copied every cards content to the laptop, hoping to be able to read/play them afterwards. Our editor confirmed that on the phone to me. I'm afraid I haven't been able to find this guy for the last 4 days and I really need to work with that footage right away, so I wonder if any of you guys can tell me how to load the backuped cards in a Mac system.
If it cannot be done (shame on Mac), then... could I solve the issue transfering the cards contents to a PC? What next?
I appreciate! Thanks!
Simismo.
