Any US-store for internet shipping & PayPal?

Is there any US-store that ships (a 32GB P2 card) to Europe AND accepts PayPal?

- B+H does only accept PayPal for UK....
- Spec Comm won't ship internationally and doesn't answer my mail
- Full Compass won't accept PayPal

etc. etc.

So how can I order a P2 card for Switzerland and pay via PayPal?

I think that because they buy their products from Panasonic USA, and they are obliged to only sell them in certain territories (like North America). Not positive about this, but I think that's the reasoning, so you may have to use a European seller.

No, that's not the case: B+H ships worldwide and so do others....

European people order any sort of devices from US-stores as B+H if the dollar is low (and actually it's extremely low).

If I used a credit card, I could order from B+H, but I have a PayPal account with just enough money on it to order a 32GB card.... so I'll try to find a reseller that accepts PayPal (as B+H does for Canada and UK etc. - that's not US either....).

I'm not totally familiar with the in's and out's of PayPal but can you not transfer the money from your PayPal account to your credit card? If so, you can then use your credit card for your purchase.

Hello CiCi,

Jasmine just shot an email over to you. It's been really busy this week.

Let us know if you have any more questions.

If I had a common credit card, then yes.....

I don't have a credit card. My wife has a very special (but FREE) credit card, that is A) limited to about 450 USD and B) it would cost 2% for the amount of the payment.

This would mean, that I had to transfer the money to the credit card (if possible) and that would cost twice: first for RECHANGING the money from USD to Swiss Francs (my PayPal account is in USD and the credit card in SFr.) and then a second time for rechanging to dollars, besides the question how to handle an amount higher than 450 USD etc. etc.

So generally, I could find a person with a regular Credit card and so on, BUT
as I have a PayPal account with some 1600 USD on it, it would be the easiest way just to have a store, that accepts PayPal and will ship to Switzerland. - just fill out some forms (as I did at B+H) and some mouse-clicks and it's done.... no losing money for USD->SFr.-> USD + taxes + getting in touch with credit card institution etc. ..... unnecessary time & money.

@Andrew: thank you! - Yes I got a mail now but PayPal seems to be no option... :(

Never mind, guys! - the longer I wait (or: have to wait) the closer NAB gets and perhaps NAB will make P2- prices drop a little for any reason.... who knows....

I don't need the card before Mai - so thanks everybody for helping me find an easy solution.

It looks like Andrew may have solved your problem. THey are good people to work with. I'm glad it looks like it's working out for you.

No. Unfortunately I still haven't found a reseller that accepts PayPal for international shipping... Of course there are other solutions, but they all cost time and money.... PayPal just takes 1 click and the money is there waiting...

When I order at B+H and ship to Germany what price do I pay?

(e.g. $ 1,549.95 for 32GB, what do I have to add besides shipping?)

Do I have to pay taxes or customs?

B+H lets you calculate the shipping.... (Du musst nur auf das entsprechende Kästchen bei Shipping klicken) for Switzerland it's around 49 USD. So the final price is about 1600 USD for the 32GB card and shipping. You will have to pay 19% MWSt for Germany - as I will have to pay 7,6% MWSt.

I save about 700 Dollars if I buy the card from USA.... that's almost the value for an 8GB card!

Are you sure B+H adds 19% for german customers?

Under sales tax they write:
"We do not collect tax for orders shipped out of New York State."

What about customs? I think german custom takes about 19%?

So B+H would charge only $1600,- for 32GB to Germany, all inclusive, no extra cost?

So if I fly to NY and buy there, I would have to pay + 8.375 % local tax at B+H + 19% customs, it would be cheaper to let them ship it to Germany?

Do you know if customs is tax deductable just like 19% MwSt?

Exactly. The 19% will be add from the German customs post-offices (at least that's how it works in Switzerland) - customs will just send you a bill, either directly with the card from B&H or separately. I once got my customs bill after many weeks....

And to be correct: it's NOT customs, but MWSt. That's only taxes for the country.... custom duties are for cigarettes, alcohol etc. above the permitted maximum, MWSt. is always added - even if you buy a chewing-gum for 10 cents.... (that's how it is in Switzerland for mail customs, but not if you pass the customs personally), but at least the chewing-gum has a lower MWSt tax... ;) (7%). If you pass the customs personally, you need to check the max. amount of value before MWSt. appears - but for a P2-card you'll be likely to pass it in any case. With the chewing-gum you only pay MWSt. if you send it, not if you pass personally the customs.

But for the local US-tax - if you buy in N.Y. - I don't know...

Studio Exchange (www.studio-exchange.com) Authorized dealer. I believe they use Paypal as well

As far as I can see, they only accept PayPal for their eBay-Shop...

Besides, they don't have 32GB cards in their actual list - only 16GB cards and their homepage is so extremely complex and colorful with complete lack of conventional buttons, so that it's impossible to me to get informations about shipping, user agreements (terms & conditions for orders) and if someone ignors all these lacks and just adds some object into the basket, I just can't find how to open the actual basket to view the actual chosen items.

I know, their website is not the best designed. I would email. Or phone during business hours (not sure if they are open on Sat). In the past, they have had items come in that were not on their site.
