i'm going for an "assassination of jesse james by the coward robert ford" time lapse deal. i already know the best settings for slow motion, but what about speeding up footage?

I made this recently:
http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?t=126503

All I did was shoot normally (I think it was shutter off, and 24pa, slight adjustments to fstop/ND filters) and then just sped it up in post.

If you were shooting film or the HVX, obviously you could just opt for a lower framerate, but with the DVX this isn't an option. You won't get all the cool motion blur (ala cars on the freeway at night type timelapses) but you can still get some good shots.

Take a look at my video, I shot normally and then just sped it up a bunch in post till I got what I wanted.

(Just as an fyi, the stuff I shot was about 20-30 minutes before being shortened into the timelapse)

Hope that helps!

Really? That's awesome! I've been meaning to buy the DVX book/dvd... maybe now that I just got $100 back from uncle sam I can finally get it.

Do it. Best 60 bucks you will ever spend on video equipment. Except if your cool like me and got it from panny for free :-D!
