What goes up, probably shouldn't try coming back down.

I saw that on tv and I freaked out. Those small planes are way more unstable than the big large ones. I NEVER got any turbulence in intercontinental flights. Now I cannot say the same about flights whiting Europe...although it's getting better.

When someone says "I'm afraid of flying" another person always says "You're much more likely to have an accident with your car"...the difference is that on the first situation you will not be exchanging insurance details with the other driver.

I've been in pretty bumpy stuff on intercontinental flights. When a 747 starts lurching around, you certainly sit up and take notice. It is kinda nerve racking while you keep telling yourself "it's fine, they are made to withstand this" .. i can only imagine it being a similar feeling to being in a earthquake when your whole world [and a 747 is pretty damn big after all] is jumping around.

I'll take turbulence in a smaller plane any day. Like a 4 seater Float-plane, they are supposed to be a little bumpy. :)

Today's news says, that the 24 years old female co-pilot was flying the airplane. Well, that was probably one hell of an experience for that young lady! Kudos for her good reactions!

Today's news also say that this incident was not wind related. She was simply trying to dodge a butterfly.

Yeah, I wonder if those cameramen were just out there all day? It wasn't like that particular flight was coming in hot or something?

If you like this kind of stuff, you should search the St. Maarten footage on YouTube. Crazy.
