Excerpt from video shot in Bermuda

Hi all.

Just getting done with a few projects, and thought I'd post some footage.

This excerpt is from a video I filmed in Bermuda. This is the first half of a 6-7 minute piece, and is close to being finished (audio hasn't been mixed yet, etc).

This was filmed on the A1 at 1080/24p. I'd be interested in hearing your comments and feedback. The link is below:

Awesome. I'd be curious to hear about what kind of underwater rig you used to get those shots.

The only thing I noticed (and I have the same problem occasionally) is some of the interviewees had reddish skin tones. I'd be willing to bet the original footage looks much better than what ended up streaming online.

This looks really nice. Good pacing and fluid editing. The camera work and lighting are top notch.

I thought the sound was good and, being the video geek, was looking for your lav placement. I didn't see any in the interviews. Did you use a shotgun? If so, what model and placement?

Nice job:thumbsup:

Thanks for the comments.

We used an equinox housing for the camera (LINK). It is an ungodly beast of a contraption. I actually would not recommend it, but the Gates wasn't out when we were looking to purchase.

You are correct on the reddish skin tones, although it's not as pronounced in the original footage. I have yet to go in and make major color adjustments.

As for sound, I used the Sennheiser ME-66 shotgun mic.

I had a Britek 600W with Softbox for key, and a Britek 200W for backlight. I wasn't able to bring any more lights because of gear restrictions, so I normally would have 2 more lights in the set up.

For a moment I thought I was watching something from the National Geographic or Discovery Channel. Really nice work! Keep it up.

Pretty good overall Kevin. Im not fussed by the colors, seems pretty natural. Dr RIchard? Aussie?
