Time When Reality Tv is Worth Watching

thats ridiculous. had to be faked in my opinion. how would they be able to bring in an ex-boyfriend at a moments notice?

it had to of all been staged out.

Unless a stipulation in the patriot act negated it polygraph tests cannot be used as evidence in any court of law in the united states either.

Honestly, when I watched that I was saying either these two already just hate each others guts and she is trying to tear him a new one emotionally on national television or this is absolutely a joke.

my conclusion was that it was a joke.

Shows like that are crap, in my opinion. I thought so from day one. Now a GREAT game show concept is Rochambo!

That's right contestants! Nut-kick your way to millions! But not so fast now! Who will we bring out when the money starts to really stack up? Tune in tonight to find out!

*Some dope jumping around in boxing shorts as they have a silhouette of Chuck Norris in black behind him...*

I don't know why do tv stations produce this kind of shows (well I do, audience levels).
When I think about all the thing thta could they invest on instead of wasting money in this I get mad:angry:

Well to them it's not wasting money. It's about product. You make a product that sells, you'll invest in it. Doesn't matter if it's a barbie doll, a movie, a tv show, a hot roller, a burger, who cares, it's a product.

It's all about lowest common denominator. What will get the most viewers? The simplest easiest things to understand, the show/films that don't lose audiences over time, the movie formulas that work, etc.

What we need are businessmen/producers that don't care about money, but rather art/entertainment. Unfortunately that would be an oxymoron. It's the people with money that want more of it.

Don't get mad at the networks and tv producers for their ratings get mad at your national brothers and sisters. They keep watching.
MTV Real World one I didn't watch because I didn't know it existed. But Real World 2...I was intrigued. This genre was new to me. By Real World 3, I realized it was all about as realistic as Wrestlemania. Its pretty disgusting that "Reality Shows" have been the industries bread and butter for the past 10+ years. Why do people continue to tune in? If you watch reality shows I'm not judging but seriously....what is the hook? Whats in it for you? I just don't understand why these shows are so popular. There isn't a hint of truth in ANY of them and its completely insulting to the intelligence of the audience. What gives?

Having said that, I did tune in to watch Tila Tequila several times with the hopes she'd kiss another chick. But hey.....fool me once!....

Yes that's the main problem, well a problem for me, not for all the people that watch these shows. For them this is the best way to invest their time.
I like movies, others get bored watching them, and think they are wasting time.

humans are different......

Well you have to realize that a lot of people aren't all that smart. They either don't think, don't care, or aren't as smart as we all make ourselves out to be.

I think sometimes "how can people watch these things" or "are people really that stupid?". Then I meet these people that are and do. :(

The "hook" is that the general audience can relate. They put themselves in the reality stars' shoe's, and get excitement. That's it.

I agree, there's no truth to a lot of them, but the "general" audience doesn't know this. Too bad.

hell, I'm sure there's still people out there that believe the Jerry Springer show is still "real".

I watched some reality TV show a few years ago that I liked.

Some guy was pretending to be a slob but they threw a twist at the audience and apparently he was rich or something. I don't remember. Maybe that's the opposite of the twist.

Anyway, fake or not, that the best of the best for reality TV and it was merely decent.

edit - it was a dating show where the winning female would marry the guy

Yeah, you're probably right.

I went to school with a guy who went on Jerry Springer once and claimed he had a foot fetish. Jerry grabbed some "random" girl from the audience and this guy proceeded to lick her foot and suck her toe on National Television because he and his buddies were in the on the joke.
