My Up-Rezz Examplessss - PZ PRO

If I understand you correct, you upressed the "before" footage and the output was the "after" footage...?

If that's it, then it's a nice upressing. I actually think there's a lot more noise in the small version than in the bigger one..

but umm.. why not just export to real, NTSC size or PAL size (720x640 or 720x576) in the beginning..?

What I would like to see is DV to HD.. can you upload some examples of that?

Uprezz looks very nice! Did you shoot in letterbox first. In disjecta's tut he says to shoot in letterbox mode I wonder if you have to?

that looks really good.... congrats on being able to wait for all those frames to export!! ;) let us know a little more about your workflow...

with my special powers!! :) nah, the image looked cleaner. less noise. i've done this and seen it done many times and to me there is a considerable difference...

I saw heavier compression on the smaller clip, and less compression on the bigger clip.

he could have gotten equal results from having correct exposure, some colour work, and good export compression. as far as small web clips are concerned.

it just doesn't make sense to do the extra steps, and time, of up-rez if you aren't going to use it's benefits.

dsjecta's up-rezzed stuff looked better compared to the original, and he exported for viewing online in a way that showed the benefit.

understood. thanks....

Yea i ended up filming it all in letterbox, i tried to use Squeeze mode, but it wouldn't work. I suppose it being stretched already, gave it less source data to work with, since squeeze compresses the footage differently than Normal or Letterbox do.

I will try and get a better version of the 4:3 version, lol my Sorenson squeeze wouldn't give me good results for some reason.

But all in all, my uprezzed version looked better than my SD version, all thanks to photozoom, because i remember using one of my friends Instant HD programs, and i got a softer picture than Tiff/Photozoomin it haha.

but i didnt know how to use it very well.

I used a few different setting on photozoom than disjectas, and tried a few things in photoshop, But it all turns out the same, color wise, photozooms resize element looked alot sharper than photoshops.

oh and yes, it seems as though my up-rezzed version blacks were crushed more, for both my SD and UPRezzed source footage, it was alot clearer.

i will try and get s better version of the SD version up, and a few screeen grabs.

class time now, laterzz

hmmm, not sure. I've really herd it from both sides, some say using photozoom looks better, because it has a really good resize element, but the downside to it is that its more time consuming for the fact that it works with individual files. (TIFF's)

Instant HD utilizes Premiere, Final Cut, AE as a plug in, works just like Magic bullet etc.. and you just mes with a few setting within the program you plugged it into.

When I get my hands on Instant HD, ill run a comparison.
