Connect to Samsung HDTV

I know this is a very basic question, but I haven't done this in along time. I'm trying to record from my TV, and I have my RCA's connected to the camera and the to the side of the TV, and I get plain blue screen. What am I missing?

AV dub in the record menu (i belive) in VCR mode.

Actually they are AV IN ports. I don't see anywhere in the instructions that says AV OUT.
