xha1 audio out of sync

Hi everyone,

I am pretty new to the a1 (only had it a couple weeks) and shot 4 hours of footage last week. When i upload to the computer (using firewire have a dual core intel 2gig ram) the audio lags by a few seconds but not with all tapes. 2 out of five tapes were out of sync and its just a pain. i know i can resync it but does anybody know what im doing to cause it? iI am using a NTG1 mic and panasonic amq tapes.

please advise.
 
know problem if you're capturing with premiere...

it's not a1 problem, it's premere. problems arrise if you shoot something, then play the tape and shoot again, and the when you capture through premiere, audio goes out of sync.

you have two solutions:
1. don't play the tape to which you are recording on the camera
2. if you do, capture with sony vegas.

As i know, premiere's scene detection is not working properly.. had this issue myself once, after that, i don't play my tapes anymore on the camera.
 
HDVsplit is a free capture utility that works great WITH scene detection for HDV. I don't use Premiere for capturing anymore.
 
i am using premier but i never play back the tape on camera. it never happened with my vx2100. i guess ill just have to live with it.
