GOOD|SAM - a minimalist film by hunter richards and anthony pierce

Hoz

Thank you for the great review.

i was only being honest, no need to thank me. i don't generally go for this sort of tale but i was damn well ready to drive out there and adopt that kid and give him a good home. with the great work you did and with the attention to detail ( the kid eating a candy bar was a great touch - of course he'd buy that for himself, that made his actions so real ) you really had me believing, again, great job! that kid's smile at the end was a real killer too.

I think that hoz said it best, simply because of the emotional reaction he had to the film. I would make a hundred films just to get that sort of emotional impact out of a viewer. The fact that a film could actually be so powerful that it makes a viewer say something like he'd be willing to drive out there and adopt the kid himself...it's just amazing. Even if it's not meant literally, its one hell of a thing to hear.

Congrats again Hunter and Anthony,

Kegan

Hi Hunter and Anthony

I took a second to hit me in the end. But boy it hit me. I cried.
Great, great little lovestory in a grey world. A perfect a+.

Thanks for the feedback, what people feel and think about any film we make is really important to us. (In order to make better films to come). Many thanks to all of you for watching the film and even more thanks to you who enjoyed the film!

Muchos Gracias. & hopefully you will watch our next film too!

Well I cant vote on the films, and man even if I could it would have been really tough with the wide range of talent in this competition. But my choices would have been these simply based on my overall desire to want to watched it again.

1.) Winter Lilacs
2.) Remember when
3.) “I ****ing hate you”

My third choice was the hardest but I guess in the end I watched it like 10 times.

Good luck to all. I’m so lucky to of had Hunter introduce me to this site. DVX users are truly the real deal filmmakers of the future.

Just an update:

GoodSam just won in the shorts category at the Salem Film Festival which picked us up the Northwest Emerging Artisit Award! yeehwaw!
