Oh Sleeper Music Video

Nice video...not my fav from you guys but overall really solid. How was the band footage shot?

Your music videos are what I strive for when I shoot my videos...it's my reality check.

Always (really) great on the light and color.
Loved the costume and set but didn't seem to use space as well as your others.
What size lights were used for that table scene?
All in all, keep up the good work...always love seeing your videos.

I got chills watching this... very creepy! Though, I couldn't quite make sense of the song's message. But still enjoyable.

I'm curious about how the set (i.e., the table) was lit, but the first thing that caught my eye while watching was how lip syncing was achieved even in slow motion. That is, if there was any slow motion. Maybe it's just me, but certain parts looked like they were shot with different frame rates.

Good job either way though.

we sped up the song and shot slow motion. so the song was played back at 200% and we slowed the frame rate to 48fps. this makes it so the singing still in sync but in slow motion

Nicely done man! I see what you're talking about now with VFR. How was that shot, greenscreen and composited out or just a black backdrop?

Top Notch! Great editing! I love simple story line vids and this one is by far my favs. "When I am God" has not left my stereo since it come out. "We are the Archers" is a dope vid aswell. Cant wait to see what you guys come up with next.

no it was shot in an all black enviornment. lit in a way to keep the blacks totally black. there was a black curtain on the wall behind us that went 3/4 around the room. it was a small studio though and a very minimal budget to work with. they are our best bros though so we hooked it up.

thanks!

top notch Danny! I couldn't tell if it was black curtain or not so cheers to that! Shootin' that video next weekend I was talkin to you about, hope all works out well :D

Just re-watched the video once I saw that you used the stock lens. The video still looks awesome, and is actually a better viewing the second time round! Funny how that is... anyway this has give me a lot of encouragement for my upcoming music video shoots, as I only have a stock lens! Great work once again!

This is one of their best songs and the video well accompanies its message. Very well done!

I've been waiting for a long time to see an Oh Sleeper music vid and you guys did an amazing job!

That was an excellent video, I wanted to know what did you use to shoot the video (i.e Camera, lenses, adapters, light etc...

HVX + Stock Lens

Lighting was as simple as we could do it. We had some china balls, 1k w/ softbox, and a lighting grid above (don't think we used this though). pretty basic and boring lighting :)

actually took a stop at your official website and was blown away man. execution of style and symbolism. definitely gonna keep an eye on you guys.
