i grew up on hook. i disliked lady in the water though. i like his other movies though. many people have a few bad movies i guess

That's your subjective opinion, Spidey. I would say Lady in the Water is an inferior M. Night film, but not a terrible movie. You want terrible? Xmen 3, Batman and Robin, Freddy VS Jason, Alien VS Predator, Ocean's 12, Blair Witch Project, etc. (my own subjective opinion here, of course!)

Heck, have you seen Dreamgirls? There's a pretencious movie that's terrible. And was praised by critics!

Having just seen it, that's how I feel about The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford. I had high hopes for it, but they were dashed by this snoozefest.

I believe he intended that as a counterpoint - not as though he was agreeing with the original comment.
Meaning something along the lines of - "on top of everything else that we can agree was awful, I personally thought the cinematography was awful too."

That's how I read it anyhow.

Planet "Poorly Worded On My Part." Apparently, the caviar are quite delicious there. Stay away from the yams though.
