I bought my HVX used on ebay for 3800 with an 8gig p2 card. Just watch who you buy from and contact the seller. Plus if something is "grey market" on ebay, and the seller doesnt specify that, then you can file reports and get your money back.
 
There often are prices that are in between B and H's high end and Ebay's non authorized dealers. Some authorized dealers do use Ebay, for example.

I have a HVX200 with very low hours and 2 16GB P2 cards.

If you are interested PM me and we can make a good deal.

I am in Los Angeles.

If you decide to buy new then go with Spec-comm. I bought mine from them and they were great to deal with.
