CARRY-ON - A Caffesse/Wildman Film

Well, mine is still uploadING...not uploadED.
in fact, the 'time remaining' seems to be increasing...not decreasing.
Hmmm

Must be all the last minute uploads.
This thing isn't going to cut off my upload at midnight is it??

Just a guess, but I don't think so... Larry *might* have it set up to auto cut off at x time, but if he does I don't think it would be at the exact time. I'm sure he's not trying to dq folks you know? :)

My *guess* would be that he is sleeping in his bed right now, and will probably check it and cut it off in the morning when he wakes up in 4 hours.... But, not before making sure there wasn't some sort of issue b/c of folks all trying to upload at once and crashing it or anyting like that.

But, I don't know... Just guessing. (gotta keep some tension in the air, right?) :)

Later,
Jason

Hey Tim - seriously....when are you going to change that banner?
:)

Just got the word that 'Carry-On' has gotten the Barry/Larry seal of approval.
Whew.

NOW I can breath easy.

Now that I actually have a second to stop and think - I wanted to say how great it's been to take part in a DVXfest for the first time.
For good or for bad, I can honestly say that our film would not exist today if it wasn't for DVXfest.

We'd had the idea before the fest was announced - but it was this deadline that spurned us to get it done. Without that I'd probably still be toying with the concept. Instead, it forced us to hammer something out, reach out to some new talent that we'd never worked with before - as well as reach out to some fellow members to help get this done. So from the initial motivation to get it off the ground all the way through the actual manpower needed during production to get it done - DVXUser is really what made this little film possible.

Specifically I'd like to mention that fellow users StephenMick and DrewOtt were on our crew (as well as lent their gear to the production) - and they were both absolutely indispensible. My only complaint is that Drew makes me feel really old - but seriously, they were great.
:)

Anyhow - the point of this rambling post is that if any of you are reading this and have not entered one of these fests in the past - I can't recommend it to you enough.
It's a great experience and it's well worth it.

This may be our first fest, but I'm pretty damn sure it won't be our last.
So thanks to those who helped make our little film a reality - and congratulations to everyone who got their project off the ground as part of this fest.
I can't wait to see them all.
