The reason I love my DVX

35mm? or is this just standard? I have trouble keeping track of who has what on their dvx on this forum. But my god, all of that was just beautiful.

We should all put our setup in our sig

Cable, he wasn't using the adapter. Just the stock DVX lens.

Who says:shocked:?

No I was not using an adapter, just the good old z99. That wasnt even full open iris either it was f3.somethingorother.

Every time I do a fullscreen preview of DVX footage on my HD monitor, I cringe in horror at how bad it looks. Then I bring it onto my SD TV and am blown the **** away. Tonite i shall try to uprez this *****, that would be so nice if I could.

I liked the rack focus looking down the wood railing. You could actually follow the focal zone as it moved down the rail----really cool.

That footage looks soooooooo crisp!

did you color correct in post?
did you modify you scene file setting?

btnhcleon:

thanks, I actually found it to be a bit on the blurry side of what I usually get out of my DVX, partially cause of the crappy polarizer filter I got.

As for CC, the only shots that were corrected (using magic bullet) are:

the little kid with the camera was warmed up a bit and the gama was lowered, the shot of the sign and the sun, and the shot directly after that were warmed up a bit, the rack focus was wrmed just a tad, and the shot of me walking away from the car (I know I know, that fleece and the way I had that hat on made me look like a shithead), was warmed and added contrast. I think thats all.

For scene file, I used B.Press (can be found in the technical section under the scene settings thread) with a color temp of about -5.

wow! not that much CC and Post prod. and u got beautiful shots like that? kudos man, it looks really good.

let me know if you try and up rez it, im curious to see how up-rezzing will work with squeeze mode.
