Anyone tried the Tiffen Chormatic Aberrations removal?

Noel, thanks. That's good information. Shooting in snow fields is a challenge and something new for me. I'm still trying to figure out the best way and your tips will help.

Barry, Can you please elaborate? You know, inquiring minds and all.

I've been looking into software corrections as well (see my responseless thread on barrel distortion). It looks like "Optics Compensation" module of Adobe's After Effects might be a worthwhile place to look, too.

I'm hoping/guessing that the manufacturers are going to begin to incorporate corrections into the in-camera processing, taking into account focal length and aperture data from the lens. Seems like a little scripting could go a long way, and free up some resources to make more flexible lenses that produce better pictures, more cheaply.

It's funny, but all the XH A1 frame grabs I've seen so far have had CA. Some have been able to mask it by using shallow DOF on the backgrounds, but it's always there. You can't have sharp detail near the corners of your XH A1 image.Wow!

Just returned from overseas and I am seeing CA in a lot of shots. I guess I didn't know it was this big of an issue...
