Letus Extreme rig photos

I tape down the focus but leave the zoom free to make those small framing adjustments. The Video 20 is a great head. I have the 18II and it's great too for the LX rig as well as heavier cameras like the F900 and such.

Hey Matt

What mAtte Box is that??

and the Zacuto Z Arm what connects that to the Battery Holder.
Whats the actual product at Zacuto??
Cant really tell in the photo.....

cheers

mattebox is a petroff with zacuto universal donut, also shown in most zacuto rig photos. A nice (and pricey) rig he has there.

Arrik is correct, it is the Petroff matte box, which is excellent.

The Zacuto Z arm us connected to the battery holder via the Zacuto Double Mount.

Although I may replace it with the single mount to conserve space.

Just as an FYI (seeing as I'm on the DL with Zacuto)... they have their own Follow Focus unit in the works for this year. It's going to be quite impressive (from what I've heard).

The double mount is great if you use like a Firestore and an arm form the camera rear. However, I've yet to find a way to use my V-mount battery plate to actually power my HVX. It'll power the screen just fine though!

RedRock FF = Awesome. Have you tried one? After waitin' SO long I got a brand new one and it's not goin' ANYWHERE. :D Even when the remote comes out, the regular FF's stayin' on.

Cavision rods are perfecto now with the mattebox riser holdin' up the back end. Super solid and high enough for Mattebox, FF, and all the lenses.

You would still need a D-tap to XLR cable for use with the Zacuto battery plate system. Which is kinda a shame because I think if they had a plate with the proper adapter, it'd be awesome. Like a 8.4V plate for the HVX... I dunno, I use my batt plate to power my monitor.

What Zacuto Arm is?...attached, cant find in on the website any ideas.
I prefer this one as its a bit smaller...

cheers

I apologize for my clueless-ness, but this product plugs into the hvx to power the camera up and this device is powered by a d-tap outlet coming from the v-mount battery? Therefore, no Panasonic batteries are needed to power up the camera at all? Thanks.

That's the idea.

That's the idea.
Thats right, I recently loaned mine to a friend who was doing a timelapse in New York in 15 degree weather and needed to run the camera off a large capacity 12volt battery. I don't use mine that much but it comes in useful sometimes.
Shane.

Shane,
So you're using that adapter for your HVX with your battery plate. Can you power something else off of the battery as well (i.e. monitor, etc?)

I appreciate quality but sometimes don't get how can a thing like the ZicroMount cost $95. + 20% tax for me and shipping to wee Cyprus.
