I just dropped one on my hard wood floor. It was out of it's case without the rubber piece attached. Im sure its okay. Has anyone ever dropped one?

LOL.. I don't think you have to worry on that.. especially if it hit the side... The only spot that looks vulnerable are the inner teeth so I think you'll be cool. I've dropped mine from a modest height with no issues.. knock on hard wood floor.

By a way.. love the name and YES he really is one. Kind of a bit weird but still powerful..

You didn't! That sucks man. Hope it was insured.

Just Kidding. They don't say 1500 g's of shock (drop) force for nothing. As long as there is nothing in the pin holes, you are fine.

Go ahead and throw it out the window of a second story window. Better yet, the Empire state building. I don't suggest it but P2 cards are tough!

Nice!!! thanks all. Im not known for being clumsy, and I never never drop things, so It was a bit of a shocker when I did.

I've dropped 'em, thrown 'em, stomped on 'em, jumped on 'em, dragged 'em across the carpet to build up static electricity, and dunked 'em in glasses of water. I've got one card where I've demonstrated that probably 50 times. Still works as good as the day I first got it.

I wish they'd make a cell phone this sturdy

Sounds like my Glock :)

Only at the lying fibbers from a certain other company who were trying to claim a bunch of lies about P2 cards (like, if you put 'em in your pocket and you have loose change, the change will create static electricity that'll erase the card, or that a CRT monitor's magnetic waves will erase cards, stupid stuff like that), so I decided to see just how far I could push 'em. :) I seriously have beat one card to heck showing how tough it is, it even looks like some dog bit it or something. Still works just as well today as it ever did.

Hes not kidding ive seen that card its a 4gig and its got a wee dint in it but I used it to offload HPX500 Footage, Bulletproof

Yeah, there's a dent or two in it, looks like something bit it. I'm tempted to say a dog at the Iditarod did it, but I'm certain that the dent was there before I ever went up there.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who is the "bull in the china shop" type.

I was standing next to the executive producer on my latest project when I dropped a 4" Tiffen soft/fx filter that he'd just purchased that week. Fortunately it didn't break, and he didn't realize that what I dropped was $200 of glass.

I think P2 cards are prone to dropping because it takes such a unique touch to remove them. Maybe we'll get lucky and get a redesign of the grip on the end when they release 64 or 128 giggers.
