DV Monitor

I think it's a great application. It's helped me immensely in my business. I shoot horse shows where I'm doing many 5-20 min horse classes back to back from a static video booth. I can label each clip and then later when it's time to compile the clips into my workflow its 1000% more efficient than capturing each clip.

Great product, but, so how does the reverse telecine fit into the 24pa work flow? I have Final Cut Studio 2, just not sure how to remove pulldown. My first effort at simply capturing and importing to FCP 6 as an XML (no reverse telecine added) rendered a Quicktime file with lots of interlacing. Any help appreciated.

Hi Ming,

Thanks for the kind words.

Hi Johnnyha,

Use Apples cinema tools to remove the pull down. We are looking at adding pull down support in a future version.

Open Cinema Tools. Then open each clip in turn and hit the Reverse Telecine button. That's basically it.
OR, in FCP (if they haven't changed it since 5.1.4) under 'Tools', use the Remove Advanced Pulldown option. Still have to do it clip by clip, I believe.

Thanks that was easy! This software is really great, a real timesaver and a godsend for someone like me who has problems keeping track of footage. Thanks again!

Just got a chance to try out the demo for HD Monitor Pro. Five minutes later, I bought a copy. This software is amazing.

And I'll be using it to do some D2D recording of interviews later this week.

Great piece of kit, Ben.

Thanks Stephen,

We worked hard to come up with a fast and easy to use tool to make shooting video better.
