QT 7.3 FCP 6 and P2CMS

Like others my innocent upgrade to QT 7.3 shafted my copy of FCP 5.x Interestingly it didn't effect P2CMS.

I've now upgraded to FCS 2 and FCP is working again BUT P2CMS is refusing to play my clips. It complains about "clip incompleteness". This is somewhat scary because I originally tested P2 Log and all the clips converted refuse to go back to being a P2 collection (via Raylights P2 maker) with exactly the same error.

I spoke to the chaps at Raylight support about this before christmas but was unable to send them a complete clip because of crappy .Mac (I tried to upload the 80mb file like 20 times for it to take HOURS but never actually complete). I need to get back in touch!

Anyone else having this problem with P2CMS? and if so is there an known solution?

I just noticed that version 1.1.9 for Mac requires an Intel core chip, not PPC. It's not supposed to work on older Powerbooks. I noticed this after I installed on my G4 1.67 Powerbook - it seems to work ok, but I haven't really run it thru the mill yet.
Is it time to upgrade to a Macbook Pro ?

I seem to remember that you used P2 Log to convert 720p50 format video to 720p60 format QT so it could be edited on an older version of FCP. Once you do that you cannot go back to MXF files unless you saved the original MXF files.
 
Now, I bow to your vastly superior knowledge on the subject but I can't understand why FCP will allow me to play and edit the P2 Log QT's and my Mac will play them in the finder and via standalone QT. But everything else flings up the 'incompleteness' error.

Would it be possible to 're-record' or convert them into the correct format? My only wish is to index them into P2CMS.

720p seems to play back fine on my G4 1.67 Powerbook, but 1080 is a little hesitant in P2cms. Playback is fine using HD Log.
