Does the EX1 have SDI-Out or HD-SDI?

Whats the diference between SDI-OUT and HD-SDI ?
Aparently one can connect the Wafian HR-F1 HD Video Recorder into the EX1, using the SDI-Out, right? thus getting 4:2:2 Portable recording.. (shame about the 17,000 dollar price) might as well get a RED for the same price.. then again, where does a RED record it's media? does it have its own hard drive raid thingy?

SDI = Standard defenition digital compoenet
HD-SDI = High defenition digital component

In or out simply means which way the connector works.

The EX1 outputs HD-SDI (and possibly [SD-]SDI too).

Red has no recording media at that price, you have to buy an additional recording module such as the compactflash module.

okay, so heres my question... because im a little ignorant on the alternate ways of recording media as well...if I hook up a computer that has a built in blackmagic card SDI...I could record a 4:2:2 signal correct? But thats only going to allow me to record a standard def 4:2:2 signal, no way of recording a HD 4:2:2 signal?

The SDI outputs either SD or HD. If you have a HD capable card with SDI input and fast enough drives, you can capture 10bit 4:2:2 HD out of the camera.
