Haven't posted footage in a while.

Just got done being the dp for this short my friend wrote. On one of the days I got
there early these ducks were mobbing me so I shot some inserts for the film and
made a short little test movie out of it.

here it is

hopefully she will let me post the film when we finish (because the footage of people looks even better!)

that bokeh is clean and maybe the best out of all the adapters.still love the lex though.nice images.

Haha, gotta love the ducks! I really hope you can post the film, because that was great!

Hehehe, I was actually taking a break from watching "The Mighty Ducks" while I saw this clip:laugh:

Anyway:) Nice images.. very clean!

Wow, one of the nicest colors I have seen from the DVX. You could barely see noise, and it was as sharp as ever. Nice job man. Go SIGUR!

Mind sharing your scene settings?

color corrected with fcp. brought down the blacks brought up the mids, whites, and saturation.

also it was just a really sunny day and in the early morning.

thanks for the nice comments!

I'm not quite sure but I think I used a 50mm 1.4. If not that then a 105mm 2.5.

The song is Saeglopur by Sigur Ros. They have great songs for films and they allow use in non profit student films.

That's really cool of them. How did you contact them, through e-mail or phone or?
I have some bands I want to ask as well for music on an upcoming short, so I am just wondering the best way to go forward with it.

I didn't contact Sigur Ros. They have a statement here that gives you permission.

I have contacted other bands for music on other films by email first and then by phone because they were local and I needed them to sign a release form. I would say if you find an email do that first. Then try myspace or something. Try to make the subject line of your message stand out because they probably get a lot. Most likely they will contact you back from either of those. Then you can discuss what you want and get a phone # if necessary.

most bands are happy to let you use their music unless they are really big. Even if they are its always good to give it a shot.
