I am looking to purchase a DVX100a new or used and was wondering what a good place to buy them would be.

since panasonic discontinued the DVX100A back in '06, you'll probably only be able to buy one used. look around the marketplace here, there's some really good deals from time to time, and look on ebay too. but in both cases, be careful in terms of who you're dealing with.

With just a couple hundred bucks more you could buy a dvx100b for $2300 on ebay brand new with a package...little more saving and you got a brand new dvx

I almost went that route, and finally ordered a 100b from B&H Photo. $300 more than the new-in-box on eBay; but i could not find a single dealer on eBay that offered a factory warranty -- only "1 year store warranty". And... do you really want to deal with Mo's Cheapie Cameras Inc. when you have a warranty issue?
