My HVX unable to offload

Ive been racking my brains out the past few days because my brand new HVX200 will not allow me to offload via fire wire. Ive never offloaded before, this is my first time. Ive consulted with several people, and still there seems to be no solid answers.

Im going to run a few tests today with new HDD's that I will purchase. Wish me luck because if this doesnt work, Im going to be one very unhappy man

A couple of things.

First, don't start a new thread on the same subject. People will find you.

Second, the manual does state that "Some HDD may not operate correctly."

My guess is before you do anything else, get a different brand of firewire drive and try that.

Never a fan of WD drives, and that easily can be the issue.

Did you format the drive for the HVX?
Using a computer or just the drive?
Is the HVX in the correct mode? (USB or FireWire)
Is the HVX in the correct mode? Target or Master or whatever the menu calls it?

There are a lot of little things that you have to set correctly to do this. Sounds like user error.
