WHERE THE HEART LIES ... Johnson, Hyten, Golden & Bullis

I know these guys aren't really one for self-promotion ;) but I wanted to plug the Fat Monster Film's blog that "shares tales from the underbelly of indie filmmaking - The curious detritus expelled by Mark Johnson and Tim Hyten - co-founders of L.A. area film production company FAT MONSTER FILMS."

I've found the posts to be very entertaining and informative. I guess I could say that they have an educational nature to them for people like me, young college students curious about the day-to-day way of life on the west coast and the independent filmmaking 'industry'. Although, so far I've really only learned about Korean barbecue and Tim's urination habits.

Anyway, check out their blog and drop it into your favorites bin. I promise it will be worth it!! Here is the link:

Thanks for plugging our blog, Kyle. We enjoy keeping it and are fully aware that we've probably eliminated any possibility of running for public office given the comments therein.

Speaking of helpful tools, I give credit to Blaine for turning me onto the Creative Screenwriting magazine screenings. I also have learned that they have a HUGE archive of podcasts available for free on iTunes that are the Q&A sessions held with writers and directors after the Hollywood screenings they've hosted. The Aaron Sorkin session we saw last night will be up there in the next day or two.

More and more I find myself addicted to the podcasts I've been accumulating on my iPod.

It would take a lot of work and energy to top that one, so I'm going to retire my cause and get back to revising my script.

Touche, Mr. Johnson. This time.

Casting Announcement

We're very pleased to announce that we've cast two very talented and experienced actors for the roles of Matthew Lowe and Sean Emberton:

Tate Ammons looks a bit like Josh Holloway.

Congrats on the casting! Seems to be a fine looking bunch. You guys have a great eye for talent, so I'm excited to see your cast on camera. Great job!

har har har har HAR!

Man, we're looking forward to shooting this. It won't be The Corsairs, of course, but we are taking our shot.

Alright fellow filmmakers, let the festivities begin. We have added cast Marc Shrem of Hollywood to play the part of Jack Morgan. Woo Hoo:

Hmmm, I have yet to see a female in your cast. Is this an all-sausage party? Or, as I like to call it: "Blaine's Secret Weekend in TJ?" :)
