Has anyone tested this adapter?

http://www.virtuavia.eu/shop/index.php?target=products&product_id=29850&sl=DE

The shop seems a little strange though:
terms:
"To calculate shipping costs, process an online order.
The system will calculate everything for you.
(Don't worry ONLY PAID orders will be VALID and will be sent to customers)"

Are they just trying to fish addresses?
Has anyone seen this adapter elsewhere?

Is there any other (tested/working) adapter cheaper than the duel?

I bought a couple of adapters (SD->CF [that I couldn't find anywhere else] & Express multi-reader) through these guys a few months ago ... they where a decent deal and nice fast shipping.

No complaints at all.

Note that it *appears* that that adapter only works with P2 on a PC, not on a Mac .. though that comment about it is a little unclear.

what do you mean?
They say:"Works perfectly with Panasonic P2 CardBus (PC only)"

How did you pay?
Usually I don´t like to pay in advance.

Can there be performance differences compared to the duel adapter, because of inferior processing, or does this kind of adapter not process/alter the signal, but just physically adapt different kind of slots?

If I dont know an online shop, I like to pay cash on delivery.
But since you had a positive experience with paying them credit card, I`ll do so too. Thanks.

Yes, it does look like the addonics, has the same price too. Thanks.
Is the addonics as fast as the duel adapter?

Theoretically, the adapters should be the same speed.

However, I still can't get the Addonics to work on a Mac.

addonics express to PCMCIA adapter DOES NOT WORK with MAC and P2

addonics express to PCMCIA adapter DOES NOT WORK with MAC and P2

http://www.addonics.com/products/host_controller/adexc34cb.asp

before you get excited about the addonics express to PCMCIA adapter, read the fine print. They have a photo that shows it working with a P2 card and they infer that it works with OSX, but then in smaller print they say that it does not work with OSX and P2 cards. I missed the fine print and bought one. Hopefully they will take it back- or better yet- make it compatible!
I hope others arent as hasty as I - and can avoid buying one of these adapters.
