Big surf in San Diego

I had a very brief opportunity to shoot a little of the big swell that came through here last week. Doesn't fully capture the power and majesty, but with a little imagination you can see it. Only had 2 4GB cards (about 8 real-time-minutes). Wish there would have been surfers to help judge scale. I would say the smaller waves 7-8 feet and larger waves 12+.

I once surfed stuff so big in OB; I was scared to death; the surf report stated 15' to 20' that day.

I have this sudden urge to go surfing. Or at least outside.

Well, 8 minutes of real time, shot at 60 fps, ends up being about 20 min on a 24 fps timeline. But that's still about 4 to 1 on a totally impromptu outing, so I don't feel too bad about the efficiency. Thanks for your comment. I've learned a lot from you on Steadicam issues.
