ok everytime i record...it records fine, but when i try to log it to FCP this happens all through out the video
and when i put it in my other camera and play it back, it seems fine. So whats the matter? does that mean it needs to be cleaned, and if so how do i clean it? Thanks
Just a guess here but I doubt it's a problem with your recording heads - problems recording would probably be seen on a pixel or raster line level, not like the entire rectangular block of the screen as on your display.
I'd be looking for problems with my settings, software, or real-time hardware issues. I'm sure others here have seen this problem and can pinpoint the issue. Of course, since you have two cameras, you could try different record and play scenarios to isolate the problem to a specific camera if that's the issue. But looking at your picture, I'm not so sure it's something bad like a misaligned head.
If you don't get an answer here in a day or two, try reposting this article in generalized forum here, such as the FCP group, etc.
you may have to clean the head and or play it into your computer through another camcorder. So do not rewind it in the camera that you recorded it from when you are ready to file the new footage. Try that first!
