Is this gap in the onboard mic too much?

Looks looser than most.

I say finish the job, give it a firm yank.
 
Yeah, definitely looks too loose. I wouldn't worry about it though.

But shouldn't this be under warranty? I don't see a way to fix it, but need to look closer.
