Hi all,

New here. Considering shooting a feature using this camera. Don't want to look at clips on line. Is there a list of bigger budget features shot with it. I'm looking in the 2 million dollar range? Love something I could rent or see in the theaters. Or does Panasonic have a place for screenings here in Los Angeles? Thanks much in advance for the help.

OMG.. I knew if I bought an HVX that the next day they would come out with a new camera. DVX200. Must be amazing. LOL - Also wrong section. :)

This is the right place if you are reffering to the HVX200. If it's the DVX100, then you're in the wrong section.

I presume "DVX200" is a typo. Let us know which camera you mean and I'll move this thread ot the right place.

Welcome to DVXuser! :beer:

Also looking for DPs

Also looking for DPs

That have shot features with this camera, not music videos or documentaries.

that's the only one that comes to my mind right now
---> http://imdb.com/title/tt0990376/
I think they had a much lower budget and I recall that people who saw the film in the cinema said that you could get much more out of the camera than they did. I cannot comment on this as I haven't seen it myself.

I highly doubt that everything from that list is accurate. Just look at the dates on some of them.

I noticed that too when posting the list but I think you will find at least some useful stuff as for example jackass 2 (only partly shot with the hvx).

Yeah, I guess just only pay attention to the ones made after 2005. I actually looked up the list on imdb and there were some different ones on there, for example there was one from 1912. Pretty crazy.

I shot a feature this summer with the HVX and M2 lens adapter. It was low budget but will have DVD release in spring. The good is the camera held up well as well as the footage looks very good. The bad is it was a light vampire, with the m2 adapter it rated at an asa125, so we were using a lot of light. If you have a good grip and lighting package it'll work fine.
