XDCAM EX1 on the road blog

Beautiful short!!!

Great stuff Philip! I've watched it three times already. Think I'll watch it again.

Cheers

Amazing shots, Philip. I'm going to purchase the EX1 and after watching your short films I think I will go after the Letus Extreme too. I see you use a variety of 35 mm film lenses and I would like to use my Leica lenses with the Letus but can't find the specific adapter for. Do you think a Leica to EOS mount adapter (I have some Canon stuff too) will work fine with the Letus? Thanks.

If you have an eos mount that takes leica then can't see why not!

thanks very much by the way!

We went out last night and a co-camera friend used the EX1. He's getting a RED and wants to buy one of these for his "B" camera shots.

We were both blown away with how easy it was to use the "JVC type" focus peaking. They were night shots and were spot on.

The EX1 SDI out to his reference monitor was excellent.

Yes, very nice from Philip Bloom. I was wondering about the vignetting in some of the shots (just the left and right side, slight shadowing). Is it a common issue with focal lengths and adapters?
