HEART OF NOW -- exclusive preview

cool. nice clean images, but what's it about? are you guys going for the major festivals with this or just selling it independently?

Great footage! Which 35mm adapter do you have there? It looks like it handles low light really well.

one shot toward the end of the preview shows Marion in silhouette walking down a city sidewalk at night. it was shot with available light with the Brevis and a 50mm f/1.2 nikon. no gain, just a little midtone boost in post.

Hey Zak, this looks great, I read your influences and the goal of the film the other day.

As for the hand injury, I do stupid stuff like that all the time and some days my hands look like I stuck them in a blender.

thanks, jpeck. right back at you...

tim, the "official" Heart of Now font is Univers Ultra Condensed, it's not a free one.

Wow, I everything looks great, so I rather say the scene that raised my quriosity the most was the close up shots of the girl face in the beginning.
The one with a green light from pointed from under. First she looks so happy and then so sad, disepointed.

The photography is great and the actors seems to be really good, so I guess alot depends on the story now.
Goodluck on your festival circuit!

Thank you, Sweden!!!

alas, i've taken the link is down now. thank you for all the kind words. next time we'll be back with a preview containing a few story elements for you to sink your teeth into. hang in there...

another variation of the font (Thin Ultra Condensed) is the most commonly used font for the billing block of credits you see on professionally designed posters and I bought it for that. $29 for just the font you want. but the entire Univers family pack is $571 though. I bought it here...

Why did you remove the link...?

to keep them wanting more! the "sneak peak" was only released to coincide with Wednesday night's interview on DVX Talk Radio, a link to which you'll find in my sig.

thanks Spartacus. we are actively re-discovering the story in post now. and once we are ready this will be the first place I post a link to an actual Trailer -- full of dialogue and explosions and car chases................... minus the explosions and car chases.

ps: i like food too.
