The shot i want to do involves something breaking. A couple walks together(in 24p) and when the plate is about to break the shot is in slow mo(overcranking, 60p). I want this to be a continual shot with no cut, i've seen it done before, how??
thankyou in advance!!

Can't be done in the camera.

You'll have to do it using your NLE or specialized software designed for this purpose, such as Twixtor.

If you shoot the whole scene as overcranked 60p then you can speed up the intro to match realtime 24p by time remapping. Better to shoot extra frames and then eliminate them as needed to speed up the footage than to go the other way and force your NLE to duplicate frames that do not exist.

I am not sure how to accomplish in Final Cut as I use Premiere Pro but here is a link that might be helpful

Good luck

....go on...? anybody? i have final cut studio 2, can i do it????

Motion 3 has an excellent motion ramp up and down filter or behavior based on Shake.

Absolutely the best I've seen in a package. Will ramp up or down to normal.

The link referenced above is the old way, and the new way uses a behavior/filter and is much better IMO.
