Looks slick, flam.

Nice colours, and great composition. Want to see all these people move, of course, but you've done a good job of snatching my interest.

The forth still puzzles me, but then perhaps I'm easily puzzled. It looks more like a manual roto' blur than genuine D.O.F. because the character on the left is the same distance away from the camera, yet is more out of focus than the characters behind him. What's the story there? If you used a 35mm adaptor, which one was it?

Anyway, it looks great.

The 3rd one down of the young boy is the only interesting one that stands out. I really like that one.

Are you on a Mac (Asking due to darkness of clips) ?

I think the stills look great. I must agree with Richyding about the depth of field on shot 4. I'm also puzzled.

You shot the "Girl Group" video earlier this year, right? That was awesome.

Why would the image appear darker if it were coming from a mac? I only ask because I've had this problem before and I run on a Mac. The image looked fine on my computer, but then when I showed it on any other (Which I realize now were all PC's) it was significantly darker.

Thanks for any input.

thx for comments. =)

yeah, this effect was done in post in magic bullet looks.
sgpro was used.

you are right, i am using a mac.
but i am using gamma 2.2 and not 1.8 and therefore images look almost identical on my pc/mac/tv.
it is supposed to look crushed - i like that. i am happy to finally get such images from 'flat, flat A1'.

but it is not supposed to look too dark so it looks like an error. so now i am confused. do others also think that it looks too dark? please tell me.

yeah i shot that. thx!

AE 55mm? Center Spot and Dual Gradient?

hmm...what do you mean?

no footage yet, sorry.

I don't think it looks too dark at all, particularly if that's what you're going for. I personally prefer shadow detail, but it all depends on the narrative, right?

No no no

I don't think it's too dark. It looks great on my PC (I'm calibrated). I seem to have a knack for spotting Mac images that's all.

The only thing missing for me is the lack of contrast and highlight. But that's a subjective spin on my part.

THe bottom one of the child has wonderful highlights spilling off the chrome and the 3rd one of the child has enough facial tone in the frame to offset any lack of light

The rest though, just seem monotone almost

o.k. - got it.

yeah, you are right. some contrast and highlights are definitely missing in some images (although already HEAVY tweaked in comparison to a1 raw image ).

better?

.

Why did you, or whoever, use the magic bullet effect? Did the Sgpro not produce results that were strong enough (I ask, because I'm buying one soon)?

Not too sure what I make of the false post-production impression of DOF. It stands out, and if I can spot it as a possible filter, others will too. But like I said, I need to see it all moving in order to really give a well-thought out opinion.

Still, it's good **** dude. Just being picky with the details.

nothing just a shot in the dark :) Thought you used those plug-ins for the look noticed something familliar in there. Nice looking grabs, looking forward to some moving ones now :)

Is it just me, or on the 3rd image to the left of the child there are some horizontal bars that shouldnt be there?
