Well it brings a little tear to my eye to say this, but it's time to sell my trusty DVX. It's been very good to me and I have been very good to it. I swore I would never sell it but the HVX is calling my name and I need to put together some serious dough.
I Purchased it new on 11/10/05 from B&H. I have babied it and have been completely anal about it's upkeep. You can follow it's entire life here on dvxuser. From it's first day almost 2 years ago, to my first music video, to crazy experiments, to cool artsy stuff, to recent stuff.
It is in wonderful condition. There are 153 hours on it. I have only used Panny and TDK tapes (both dry lube) and I never reuse tapes. I used a cheapie DV cam for capturing so as not to wear out the DVX heads. It comes with a skylight filter which has been on since I first opened the box. Everything works as it did when it was new. I kept a protector on the LCD so it looks new. I even have the plastic covers for the XLR inputs!! I never loaned it out or rented it. There are two tiny screw holes in the plastic on the bottom of the hood. You can see these in the pics. This is from when I mounted the hood on rods when using my 35mm adapter. No big deal but I thought I should mention. It comes with the original box and packing and the DVX book by Barry Green. It also comes with the following: Original battery and 2 larger capacity aftermarket batteries with original charger and AC adapter for the cam. Remote control. Onboard mic clip/shockmount. Audio-Technica AT4031 cardioid condenser mic with short XLR cable for on cam use. Petrol camera bag and Petrol raincover fit perfectly for the DVX.
I am asking $2000 for everything. I take PayPal as long as you are in the USA and I ship to a confirmed address. I won't even charge an extra 3% for using PayPal because I'm a nice guy. Shipping costs are TBD but rest assured I will only charge actual costs. Of course pickup in LA with cash is GREAT!!!
