"Berlin" - A Norm Sanders Film - DVD NOW AVAILABLE

Thanks everyone. I've just updated the front page with a slate of pics that Isaac Koval (a DVXuser member) just sent me tonight. He was our B-Cam operator, and somehow also found time to take some GREAT BTS pics as well.

The first one of the set, looks like a full on screen grab, but it's not. I will let you know that the shot he grabbed there leads right up to an incredibly epic shot we grabbed that day with 20' diameter circle track ... total Michael Bay style, with a great crew on hand to make it happen.

It'll be one of the clips I hope to get up by Thursday or Friday....

I'll also get a more completed production journal up soon, I hope.

Been meaning to post here since I saw the thread -

This looks really top-notch, Norm. If the short is anything like the grabs and bts indicate, it'll be a beauty. My wife walked by and the closeup of Rebecca at the mic caught her attention from across the room. She checked out the thread on her own and thought it looked fantastic.

Can't wait to see more.

Wrapped another intense weekend of filming. It was amazing being on that kind of set. Our art director rocked.... Looking forward to some clips. :2vrolijk_08:

Okay, so I've been buried in my office today, since the moment I got up. Trying to catch up on a loan pipeline (my day job) that seems to be dying on the vine with every deal, and in between calls, spend some time sorting through the footage & putting together a QUICK and dirty video that's centered around the main Cabaret song, and shows some various cllps from throughout the film.

I'm kind of usure about posting it, however, because I've not been able to put the time into the editing that I'd normally like to ... but on the other hand, I know folks are itching pretty bad to see some footage ....

So what say ye? To post, or not to post.....

K, well PLEASE everyone keep in mind that this is a ROUGH edit, with next to nothing for color correction, other than some stuff I quickly slapped on for some slight desaturation, sepia, and old film look just for kicks & giggles. The look (other than frame & movement of shots) is not to represent the final product.

But it'll give you a fair idea of locations, settings, perhaps a couple of plot beats, etc. I didn't want to show too much to where it hinted at any twists either....

I've JUST started uploading it, and it's nearly 50MB, so give it about 15-20 minutes to complete.

Blah, I already just watched it again, and saw some tweaks that were begging to be made, or I'd go nuts. Minor, but I'll be updating the link before I leave for a wrap party we're having for it tonight...

That was HOT Norm!

If the acting, and story matches up to those visuals and production value... you've got a great short on your hands!

Awesome. That looks great for a rough edit.

I'm still looking forward to seeing the finished thing.

Did you take it down? I get a 404...

Updated the front page with links (2nd post down) to more onset photos, as well as official link to the music video/footage teaser....

Still behind on the production journal, and heading on a business trip several days in the AM ... not sure if I'll be able to update while I'm away or not, but will try. Editing has been the priority, taking 2nd to catching up with the family!

wow norm, that is impressive, looks amazing. you and rebecca are one talented couple.
i can't wait to see the film!

Norm, just checked out your video on your myspace page. (wmv file no good on my mac.) This is visually wonderful. I really love the location of the night club, incredible set. Great epic camera movement as well. Can't beat real Germans in a WWII film. good luck with it, visually it looks to be your best work yet. Keep us updated.

Jim
