Hi guys,

I am happy to share with you that I just bought one 1 hour ago. This is my first professional camera and I will try to send a few footage today.

Well I am a new member and this is my very first message ;)

Welcome aboard and congratulations! This is a great source of information and a great group of people. Again, congrats! And enjoy the great new cam!

One tip- try not to shoot the A1 all the way at wide...tendency towards chromatic aberration. Other than that a fantastic camera for the price--shoot in good health!

Welcome Ates. Give yourself the time to learn the A1, to play with it's possibilities and you will be rewarded tenfold!

I habe also bought one recently! I am really impressed with this camera so far. Can't wait for some real projects to test it out on. But what I've shot in the past few weeks has been great.

I'm just gettting into the "custom settings" which are nice. I am officially a "DV-ex User".

Thanks a lot guys. It is nice being here also. Well mostly I will use 24p progresive. What do you recommend for best shootings? I need settings close to film look. What else accsecories would you recommend?

I made gain -3 and it was too dark so i made it 0. I closed AF. What shutter speed would be better for best result? I think this should change accroding to the light.

I am still fooling around of it..!

where can i buy this? do i have to buy anything else when i get this?
someone from ebay sells lens and he says i don't need any adapters. but i know i need. Also where can i buy this? Which one gives the best "film look" and will i need anything else? like wide angle lens?

That "someone" from eBay is a shyster. You need an adapter.

lol.. Well he sent me this email

I am not sure. He also sent me this:

"We have a high resolution auxiliary lens that is specific for your camcorder, I am not sure about what you mean by a 35mm adaptor."
[/FONT]

Never mind, that is a simple wide angle lens, which is fine. For 35mm lenses to achieve film-like depth of field, you will need one of the adapters I mentioned.

Hey Ates,

If your in the market for a M2 HD 35mm adapter hit me up. I'm planning to purchase a SGPro soon for a project in November. The money ofr the M2 will come in handy. I'll give you a good price for it. If interestested pm me. This is a great place to get solid info on gear so ask question 1st before committing. DVXUsers will be more then willing to help.

Just got my A1 last week. I am really happy with it. Hope you have a good run with yours.

Take care.

I am not sure either..., well, let's first see if you'd pass the unofficial A1-Users-Test: You got an XH A1. And posted the link to a 62mm WA. Is it the right size?
