Public Info film shot on A1

**** man, it was like watching my girlfriend and i. Like the words were coming out of my mouth.

and god i dont know if i could handle an ending like that in my life. i dont know.

Holy, At first i thought you should put this into a movie, and make a happy ending where she lives, but a commerical? Brilliant...Abosolutely amazing, WOW

totally awesome/brilliant/pro from shooting/editing/storytelling perspectives!

Question: what workflow did you use for the h.264 compression? The quality looked stellar if you ask me @ such an insanely small file size!

Wow! Sorry, I haven't had chance to check the forum since I posted, so just found all these comments - really really appreciated, thank you!!!

Right... The blurry edges on the flashbacks were done in post, but I didn't use an adaptor, this was all shot with the standard A1 lens - I just set shots up to simulate a shallow DOF, with things very close to camera out of focus, etc. I've got the SGpro on order, so hoping to get better DOF effects with that.

It was shot 25F apart from the slow motion which was shot at 50i at about 1/150th sec shutter speed, which I find cleans up the slow motion. It was deinterlaced using ReelSmart, but I set it to field blend rather than interpolate, because it was a lot quicker to render!

I can't take full credit for the production though, unfortunately! The idea of flashbacks came from the producer, who also cast it, though the only shot we really planned was the pillow fight. We planned setups, such as the car etc, rather than specific shots.

Using Quicktime Pro to convert to h.264 (set at 65%) from a max quality photo jpeg master.

Thanks again for all the comments!!

thank you thank you thank you for posting that. It was fantastic. Well shot, well directed, and fantastically acted. Sometimes I feel like people spend too much time worrying about the technical they forget about the acting and you really came through in that part. Excellent job.
