FEAR: My next short film.

Good advice. I did have some people interested after seeing this 16 second teaser though. I guess I just didn't want to give too much away since it is only a 5 minute short. I also didn't want to go with a voice over or anything like that either.

Any ideas on how to improve it without giving everything away?

Thanks,

Mike

Work on the music. Perhaps start the teaser as some sort of light film, or perhaps at least dark, but not scary. Actually what might work is some synth, just a nice creepy synth. Just before that final shot, have some sort of huge build-up and top it off with a loud/muffled scream with the final shot.

Give me some goosebumps. :)

Buildup leading to a scream seems like a huge cliche for horror trailers.

Great footage. But I question whether it's a good idea to flash the title multiple times, especially in the middle.

Jon, thanks for the advice. I guess I went a little too subtle with the teaser.

HBlack, well you shouldn't really be able to make out the title clearly the first time.

It really only shows clearly at the end. Maybe I should make the first 2 title shots a little more obscure.

Thanks!

Mike
