I'd like to start a production company specialize in making music videos. I have 2 music videos I've directed. How can I get more works other than advertising my production website where people can come and watch those 2 previous works? Is there any way you guys would if you are about to start a music video production company to get yourself and website get noticed? Please give me some advice. Thanks in advance.

Yes, that seems like how to start. Start looking for bands and artists with talent(if they are talented, the better chance more people will get to see your video if they become bigger), who haven't been discovered yet and offer them a music video which is fairly priced. And hopefully as more you produce, the word will spread around and people will recommend you and so on. That's how I got my latest job, the people I did a job for recommended me to a colleague of his because we did a solid job for a lesser amount of money. And since we are advancing and have showed what we are capable of doing we were able to charge a little more than last time.
Keep pushing on, and good luck! :)

aite guys, thanks for your help. Smettli's comment brought me another question. How much do you guys usually charge for indie rock band and say the music video is only about them performing and no story part?

Thanks again.

well that's a tough question to answer because it varies depending on your market due to cost of living and things like that.

Yeah there are way too many things to consider to just haave a base price.
Locations, rentals, crew, editing, FOOD, etc.

your going to find it alot more difficult to get PAID work dealing with music.

bands generally pay people that they know...and if there going to go out and hire someone they don't (no offense) there going to hire someone that has quite a bit a gear and pull off a very slick production... dollys cranes etc...

good news is bands alot of times go with who they know... get out to some shows and meet some folks... maybe get in filming some live concert stuff.. then move on to music videos....
