Sept 1st LA meet - Venice Beach - 10am

Yes, Matt, we planned Venice as a meeting place because of you, we chose this Saturday because of you, so yes, we were all there because of you, everyone asked about you, had no idea when or if you showed up. I even went back several times to check, never saw you.

I want to thank TOMMY, LUIS, MICHAEL (and his girlfriend Miriam) and MATT_g for a lovely time at the beach. We talked, we threw frisbee, we played some volleyball (you could not tell I played in high school), we had some lunch together, Michael did a little body boarding, it was a fun time meeting such cool people.

Luis and Tommy went out for a drink, the rest of us went home and I want to thank MATT_G for the ride close to home. I'm sorry I got there later than I had anticipated, had NO IDEA muscle beach was that far from me, Jesus, I'm still burning energy from that ride.

You guys were lovely and I can't wait to meet up with you all again.

Yeah, it was a lot of fun... good to see the regular meeting-goers, Charli, Matty... meeting Luis, Michael, and Miriam.

We'll have to do this again in about a month...

Sorry I missed everybody... I got there about 12:30 and left at 2:10p. Traffic was worse then I expected and it was hard to get parked in time... I considered not even mentioning my trip out because of my tight schedule... now in hindsight I really wish I hadn't told anybody... there wasn't enough time for anything that I wanted to do. I'm completely stressed and it was the opposite of a vacation.

I went down on the beach to look for anybody playing volleyball or football and I saw neither. I circled the workout area that you pictured for a while... walked through the freaks and then looked again. I'm sorry it didn't work out. I'm also glad that everybody had a good time anyway.

For a while there I thought Brandon Rice looked considerably different in person... and if he was with a group of kids including one REALLY goth dude... then yeah, he looks a lot different in person... but I'm guessing that WASN'T him.

There were a couple people that looked familiar... but not so much that I'd go up to them. Had I seen a DVXuser shirt I might have.

Charli... if you were wearing a red sundress then I saw you and you looked good... but I was pretty sure that wasn't you.

Hey Matt, don't even sweat it... :) Yeah, traffic was a pain but that's because it's a holiday weekend and it's so hot that people tend to gravitate towards the (slightly) cooler weather near a beach.

We may have been eating around the time you got there. There were so many people that it was hard to pick anyone out of a crowd. The only person that I recognized at first was Matty_g and that's because we've gotten to know each other through past meetings and working together on the 48 hour film festival. I saw Charli after I got there since she went to the tennis courts looking for me...

Brandon didn't show up.

I'm sorry you didn't have a great time. For being on vacation, that's sort of the most important thing to do. I never even connected us going to the beach with you being in town so that never even crossed my mind. I just figured you might show up if you were in the neighborhood and if not, then it was perfectly understandable...

MattSTL - this is why people give out their phone numbers.

I don't know about you guys, but my shoulders are burning - lol. Tommy, next time let's find a field so we can play some football. I can run better on grass.

My feet are soooooooo sunburnt.
I don't think i'm going to be wearing shoes for a few days.
Very cool meeting a lot of new people and it's always good to see the old friends.

Matty - top of my feet got burned too, as well as shoulders. I have bruises on my arms from the volleyball, not bad though, feet are sore from the hot sand, thanks for letting me borrow a pair of socks, Luis.

I agree. I know this great park, North Hollywood park. It's right off the 170, just north of Riverside Dr.

hehe... No, I was actually at Universal Studios yesterday... I totally spaced out and forgot to call/email you to see if you were going there this week. Yesterday was a good day to go... not busy at all.

Thank you all, it was fun :) This was the first time for me to meet anybody form dvxuser. Luis: Just saw your Heinz commercial, it's very well done, liked it alot!
Charli: can you post a link to the short film you were talking about (Angel "something")?
