"boats and flagpoles" w/ SGPro rev.2

Hey dudes.
I found an old x2 converter for my 75-150mm pentax lens which turns it into a
150-300mm instead. Therefore I shot some boats and flagpoles from my porch.
I felt that the converter made a soft picture, so not all of the shots are with it on.
I also forgot to change batteries on my adapter so in some shots you can se signs of the spinning GG(especially the shots with the flagpole). And jeez, the color red is really hard on my poor dvx :)

right-click, save as..

it still looked nice. what compression settings do you use? sorenso 3? h.264? i always play around with exporting quicktime movies from premiere but mine always look like crap

Hello. I use h.264 compression with quality at: 80.
Peronally I think the footage looks like crap, the lens and converter used
really have some downsides like soft and grey image and it seem to vignette also.
One should always put nice glass infront of the sgpro.

Try exporting it as dv-avi file from premiere, and then you open that file in quicktime player and export as h.264 from there.

No dv-avi.. just avi:P hehe or that's what I do.. and then "no compression"..

but quicktime sure is a great tool..

anyways.. the clip looked alright.. But your pentax lens is clearly meant to stay on your sgpro ..
I bet it was nice to try something new though:)

You're right, dv-avi makes HUGE files :)

Think I will have to invest some more money into the lenses I get from here on, the glass says everything.

wait.. doesn't dv-avi create smaller files than avi files?

Haha, this is getting out of hand. If I remember correctly, raw avi creates pretty big files, stherefore I export with microsoft dv codec avi no compression from premiere. Now I'm gonna shut my mouth :)
