FYI - Createspace.com also distributes Indie Flicks, so if you got one, look them up.

Check out the movie and let us know what you think. We didn't have a huge budget or have our film financed by somebody else. We did it blood, sweat and tears all on our own (with alot of helpful advice from this site) and we think it turned out great!! Are actors really shine and the action is off the chain.

Thanks, DVXUSER! We give you much love.

Wow, I ordered a copy of the film, got it today, watched it and it was GREAT!!! I'm so impressed. How long did it take and what kind of budget did you have??

"Recoil" may end up being some sort of cult classic.

Excellent!! Thanks for the support, daharris. Well, to make the film took about 8 months, which was way longer than I thought it would. I'm a full time filmmaker now, so what I did was film on the weekends and edit during the week. We could only film on the weekends, because mostly everybody else had day jobs (9-5s).

The budget? You would really be surprised. Not all that much. I had all of my own equipment and we filmed it entirely in Oklahoma City, which is probably the most user friendly film city in the country. I edited night and day, hours and hours and hours and from the days of shooting plus editing time, the movie could have easily cost in the hundreds of thousands. But, it only cost us a quarter of that.

What did you think of the shootout??

Nope. Got some blowbacks and used a software program that I found out about on dvxuser to put in the muzzle flash. It looked great. Ain't technology amazing?

That's a good idea. I just haven't had the time, but you're right. Again, thanks for all the feedback. I appreciate it.

I read the synopsis, that last line "if they can survive" really adds that thing to it.
have the film been screen at any festivals?

From reading the credits, it looks like you do it all, and not to mention you're the lead.. u must of worked your A$$ off.

Yeah, capitalP, I did work my tail off (LOL), so I always tell people that if the movie sucks it's my fault, but if you like it it's because I had alot of good help. Actually I just sent it to a couple of festivals, one local and another in Hollywood, but it didn't get screened. I wanted to send it to some more, but money was an issue. Film festivals can add up, so I just kind of cut out the middle man and began to send it to distributors for free.

I had some offers early on, but I've dealt with distributors before and can tell what's a good contract and what's a bad one. It took almost a year to get with this new distributor, so we'll see what happens.

leenewton, wow! I watched it and you did a great job! I've got so many questions, but I gotta' run, so I'll check back. Just wanted to say great job!
