48 hour film project submission

I would have to agree with the categories you won in.

The thing that bugged me most about it was the sound. It was a bit inconsistant, and the dialogue was lacking. Did you use a boom mic for it? The pacing could have been improved in some places as well.

Having said that, it's definitely an admirable product for such a short time frame. I doubt I could come up with anything like that with those restrictions.

Thank You for your compliments & critiques. I would have to agree w/ you on all points, sound dialog & pacing. Yes we did use a mic (kind of) We had just received our new Sennheiser Lav & didn't quite have enough practice w/ it before hand, so some of the sound is from on-board.

Awesome. I did the 48FP this year, as only an actor, and we even pulled 'Spy'. The team I joined...their script was terrible, equipment terrible, etc. But with decent actors though with terrible direction.

Yeah, I think the major improvement areas would be writing dialogue and acting, but with 48 hours you earned your awards.

Why is it so interlaced?

To be honest, I am not sure.

You are right though, there was indeed some interlacing issue I couldn't quite figure out. We shot 24f SD for time constraint reasons (rather than HD- downconvert). The error no doubt resulted from me not fully understanding the 24f SD process.

Perhaps if I try 24f SD again I will use the pull-down instead.
