The Last Son of Celeste *Online Debut*

Final cut pro for editing. FX shots are just matte paintings done on photoshop and composited in After Effects with some roto work.

dude, that was pretty amazing. I liked the acting, although "dream" girl came off better than "flashback" girl, or however thats supposed to work out. Man, I wished you'd color correct my movies ;)

I don't know how long that was, but I watched the whole thing, didn't fast forward or skip, VERY rare. Congrats!

I loved the film! I was curious (especially since I will be purchasing an A1 in the near future) - I have seen other A1 footage that does not look as good as yours. I was curious what settings you had the A1 as I am sure you did not have it "out of the box." Also, what color correction did you use on it in post?

Beautiful cinematography. Didn't quite understand the story completely. It felt like I walked into the middle of Hollywood movie at the theater, but then 15 minutes later I got caught and kicked out so I couldn't see the ending.

Aside from that, your main guy actor is brilliant. He's like an ethnic Orlando Bloom -- except a hell of a lot more talented. As the other guy said, keep him around.

Dudeeeee so gnarly.

Im generally not a fan of fantsy-esque movies but what was cool is that yours was kept within the limits of reality. It was shot wonderfully and the acting was pretty good for the most part. That girl did very well on some parts, but kind of awkwardly on some other parts.

Music was really fitting.

The whole movie kind of reminded me of Aronofsky's "The Fountain"

but yeah man, props. Very cool film.

Haha... thanks for the feedback guys. Nemesis, I love your comments... ethnic Orlando Bloom... Pablo is gonna love that one!

Really fantastic work, I must admit I was skeptical because it's a fantasy and I never see fantasy pulled off well on a smaller scale without being cheesy but this really blew me away. The art direction was consistent and beautiful throughout, and I can't say enough good things about the cinematography... the post effects were really nice, simple and effective. I really hope you hit all the festivals you can with this, it's definatly worth getting out there!

love your work

great work, loved the whole imagery.
Talking about Junipero, the beach shot, how was the sky done? is it a photograph?

Kinda. It's a matte painting generated by different photographs.

Bravo Marlon! Your directing is incredibly strong and use of visuals admirable. Gorgeous music too- certainly your multi-talents will suit you well. I'll definitely keep you on my radar!

excellent work man. but my HUGE complaint is......you pretty much ripped on Darren Aronofsky's the Fountain. The story lines interchanging, the different time periods. i wouldn't say anything but the Fountain is one of my favorite films of all time...just wondering if that was direct influence? or if you were trying to make an allusion to the Fountain or what?

All in all though, EXCELLENT cinemtography and whatnot. I agree witht he above comments regarding sound and stuff, but bro, excellent work otherwise.

I would really like to know about that blatent similarity to the Fountain though and if that was intentional or just coincidence.

NOT nocking on the project at ALL though man, i am very blown away by what you have here (checking out your other stuff as we speak). Keep shooting and filming. You've got everything it takes man. I would love to work with you some day.
